About Sobremesa

Sobremesa publishes restaurant reviews written after actually eating there. We do not republish press releases, we do not recycle other people's reviews, and we never write about a place we have not been to.

How we work

• We pay the bill. Always. No restaurant pays to appear here.
• We show up unannounced. We do not book as press and we do not accept invitations.
• We say what did not work. A review with nothing but praise is useless.
• We publish the date and the price. A review without a visit date and a real bill is not information, it is advertising.

How we choose places

We go where we are curious, not where the hype is. We cover Argentina in more depth because that is where we live, and the rest of the world when we travel.

Corrections

If something is wrong — a price, an address, opening hours — write to us and we will fix it with the correction date visible. If you own the restaurant and want to reply, your reply runs unedited at the bottom of the story.
